Simplifying the student acquisition journey
How more than 20 universities were modernized and brought to the Ânima standard of organization and infrastructure
Services
The client
Ânima Educação is one of the largest educational organizations in Brazil, responsible for more than twenty recognized brands in private higher education, such as UniBH, São Judas, UniFG, Anhembi Morumbi, and Unisociesc. Focused on quality education, the group achieved over 80% of grades 4 and 5 with its universities in the MEC's General Course Index, and has been modernizing its institutions by investing in technology to transform the country through education.
The problem
The Ânima Educação group had acquired the Laureate education network and needed to integrate the various new universities and their respective legacy systems in organic and agile manner, in time for the start of the academic period. This primarily included the institutions' websites and student registration forms.
It was necessary to rethink the entire visual identity, navigation flows, and software architecture for accessing each university's databases – all in the shortest time possible.
In total, more than 900 pages were developed for over 18 sites.
Objectives
Unification
Unify the flows and visual ID of each newly acquired university
Integration
Integrate the APIs and databases of Ânima and Laureate
Management
Facilitate the content management of the websites
Design and componentization of the visual ID
The first step was to create a Design System with various components, allowing for the development of a single modular wireframe that could be adapted to the visual identity of each university. With the layouts and navigation flows approved, the production of the sites became much more agile.
Back-end and front-end organization
In addition to developing the components, our team developed APIs to integrate Ânima's databases and legacy systems with the universities' websites, automating a large portion of the information displayed on the front end, such as course names and prices. The registration of lead and student information, collected through the application forms, was also standardized and automated.
Standardization and customization
By migrating all the sites to WordPress, we were able to simplify the content editing process via CMS, giving more autonomy to Ânima's team. At the same time, we managed to customize each portal, both in terms of visual identity and structure, pages, and components.
